Summary
The locations of world-class gold deposits in the Yilgarn Craton appear spatially associated with several major shear zones.
In this project 70km of deep seismic reflection data along sub-parallel traverses were acquired and processed, and interpreted to improve on understanding the 3D geometry of the shear zones, to enhance exploration.
Keywords: Yilgarn Craton, Eastern Goldfields, deep seismic reflection, crustal shear zones, gold exploration
