Summary
The objective of the study was to apply the CSIRO developed LECODE numerical model for understanding and potential targeting of channel iron deposits (CID) both outcropping and buried within current BC Iron’s tenements.
The model was used to assess and validate the model against known CID and then apply that to other areas.
The results of the study show that such accumulation in the Craton is limited and more prominent in the Hamersley Basin.
