Jurassic calcareous nannofossil biostratigraphy of the North West Shelf and Timor Sea areas

Summary

In this first detailed study of Jurassic nannofossils from the Australian region, assemblages prove the presence of these microfauna over relatively large areas of the North West Shelf.

The Northern Hemisphere zonation is readily applicable to the Australian succession, in which lower and middle Jurassic nannofossils are better preserved than the Upper Jurassic microfauna.
