Influence of anisotropy on depth conversion

Summary

The objective of this pilot study is to investigate the effects of velocity anisotropy on depth determination from seismic sections.

In particular, the influence of the elastic parameter delta star, which can cause depth estimates to be too deep and too shallow, the effects of reflector dip angle and the effects of anisotropic layeringare investigated in this study.
