Report title: Greenfields geochemical exploration in a regolith-dominated terrain: The Albany-Fraser Orogen/Yilgarn Craton margin
Summary
The separation of transported from residual domains was achieved for the north-eastern Albany Fraser Orogen by applying regolith models of similar landform types, such as has been done for the Yilgarn Craton.
This enabled the researchers to not only distinguish transported from erosional regimes, but also to relate depositional material to its source rocks and to identify the type of bedrock, by characterising the mineralogy of its equivalent saprock.
