Summary
Fouled carbons from three Western Australian carbon-in-pulp plants were investigated by optimising the acid washing conditions needed to remove the major contaminants, calcium, magnesium and silica, and by measuring comparative kinetic activities of the carbon before and after acid washing, thermal regeneration, and contact with plant process waters.
