Agitator design for leaching

Summary

Two phenomena are used to produce maximum mixing with minimum energy input; they are turbulent flow and cavitation.

By repeated testing of different profiles for agitator blades rotating on a vertical axis in a large cylindrical flat-bottomed tank, an optimum design has been developed.
