WA research supports future mineral exploration in the Yilgarn province
Geochemical research has delivered new efficient exploration methods that may help identify buried mineralisation in the Eastern Yilgarn
Published: 28 May 2020
Minister Johnson released the results of research findings for MRIWA project M0494 today.
Researchers led by Dr John Walshe at CSIRO have developed a new cost-effective geochemical exploration method allowing the targeting of precious metal resources that have eluded traditional exploration methods.
This research will enhance the potential for discovery of new resources in the Eastern Yilgarn region and may have applications in mineral exploration around the world.
