Update on MRIWA and COVID-19
MRIWA continues to be open for business during these uncertain times
It is incredible the rate of change that is happening all around us.
Like everyone, ensuring the safety of the broader MRIWA community is paramount and in response to COVID-19 we are seeking to take a number of measures.
To enable work to continue and reduce any potential exposure to the virus, MRIWA:
- Will be holding all meetings organised by us via video conferencing and will not attend meetings organised by others in person but seek to “appear on a screen near you” via video conference;
- Has requested the lead researchers from our projects to hold any Sponsor Review Meetings scheduled over the coming months via video conferencing so everyone can practice self distancing while still getting to hear about the amazing work happening in MRIWA funded projects;
- Is progressively working towards enabling the team to be able to work from home.
To enable work to continue and reduce any potential exposure to the virus, MRIWA:
Despite this, the not seeing you in person, MRIWA team will continue to be available via mobile, email and video conference to continue work as per normal so please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
We will reassess this situation as things progress.
While there are many challenges at present there are also opportunities.
We have used the current situation to rapidly progress our use of video conferencing and cloud based collaboration as enablers to be more progressive, connected, engaged and agile – four of our key values.
We have put the above measures in to be respectful, our fifth key value, of the community at large and do what we can to prevent the spread of the virus.
We look forward to staying engaged with you in this virtual world and, when circumstances permit, being able to see you in person.
If you have not already done so, get connected with us via one of the means below as we have a number of reports ready for release over the coming weeks you may be interested in!
