Resources technology and critical minerals processing road map launched
Businesses in the critical minerals processing and resources technology sectors can apply for funding through the Modern Manufacturing Initiative
The Prime Minister and Minister for Industry, Science and Technology have launched the Resources Technology and Critical Minerals Processing road map.
With the launch of the road map, businesses in the critical minerals processing and resources technology sectors areas are now able to apply for co-funding under the Australian Government’s $1.3 billion Modern Manufacturing Initiative (MMI).
Grant funding is currently available for two of the three streams:
Applications are open until 5.00pm AEDT 1 April 2021.
A total of $140 million in funding is available for this first round across all six priority manufacturing areas, with further funding to be opened up in future.
Grants for eligible projects are contingent on co-funding to ensure they help attract business investment and support commercialisation.
The third funding stream – Manufacturing Collaboration – will open later this year.
