Led by Professor Yves Potvin at the Australian Centre for Geomechanics at UWA, this project delivers significant advances in ground support design for underground mining.
Applied using widely-available software tools, the new methodology delivered here will help to improve safety and reduce costs in underground mining, and enhances Western Australia’s reputation as a leader in developing geomechanics technology for the mining industry.
