Using seismic anisotropy to characterize seal and reservoir properties in the North West Shelf of WA

Summary

The objective of this study was to utilise seismic anisotropy for improved characterisation of the sealing shales and reservoir sands of the North West Shelf.

The results underline the importance of taking into account seismic anisotropy when designing seismic data acquisition and conducting data processing in this area.
