Automated measurement of phase behaviour in north west shelf and natural gas fluids using advanced microwave technology
Project Overview
Project Number
M0345
Total Grant Value
$295,000
Program Area
Project Theme
Detection Technology
Project Period
2001 - 2003
Summary
The outcome of this project was successful development and testing of a constant volume microwave resonator system (CVS), and a variable volume system (VVS).
The CVS and VVS were each characterised by appropriate gases and liquids, and software was written to automate the operation of the entire system.
Comparisons were then made of the CVS and VVS for laboratory PVT measurements.
Keywords: microwave, resonator, PVT measurement, hydrocarbon recovery, gas condensate
