Lessons in ESG from the 2021 MRIWA Student-Industry workshop.
This exclusive masterclass on October 14 introduced participants to the value of environmental and social governance in mining.
The annual Student-Industry workshop is a key event in MRIWA’s Education Program calendar, providing PhD students from WA universities and mining decision-makers with an opportunity to work together and explore the value of research skills in addressing important industry challenges.
This year’s workshop was focused on the value of Environmental and Social Governance in modern mining industry management and decision-making. Facilitated by leading ESG training consultant Bruce Hobbs, MRIWA scholars and invited PhD student and industry guests explored the complexities of this important subject through analysis of the Pascua-Lama project in Chile.
